Thrift Store Clothing Haul Fashion Weekly–What I Wore

What is the first thing that comes to mind when you see the words “75% off“??   This can include anything…clothing, jewelry, tools, furniture….We are saturated by sales every day.  My inbox is full of emails that promise “Extra 50% off–you’ll be tickled pink!” and “Stacked Up Savings Just for You.”  Smart companies have discovered that if they include the word “discount” or “deal” or “sale,” they have a chance of making more profit.

One of my most read articles has been the information I wrote in February on “Can you Buy $200 of Clothes for Only $25?  Find out how!”   When my lovely visitors from all over the world tour my website, they seem to always read this article.  I find this fascinating.  What about saving attracts people so much?  That we have more money to spend on something else??  That we have conquered more for only a little??  What about the little words “reward” or “free shipping” or “flash sales” causes an extra adrenaline rush and attracts a large turnout?

Almost every piece in this fashion weekly has been or has been found at the thrift/secondhand store or has been discounted.  In fact, some of the pieces I have styled here were purchased and are included in the article I referenced to in the earlier paragraph, “Can you Buy $200 of Clothes for Only $25?  Find out how!”  Not one of these pieces I paid full price for, with the exception of the Miss Me Jeans that I bought about 6 years ago and am still wearing to this day.  However, even Miss Me Jeans can be found on Ebay for discounted prices as low as $20.

I used the technique discussed in the article on The Insanely Easy Formula to Wear a Cute Outfit Every Time to create every single one of these outfits.  It was amazing to see how easily each one of these outfits came together!  I hope ya’ll will be able to use this technique to make your morning routine a little smoother and easier!!

Happy Styling!!

  1. Hello Hub City Girl!
What a great post and inspiring fashion shoot! Love your style and how you incorporated your fashion formula into every outfit – this really is two posts in one. Thanks for putting this together!

    • Thank you Rachel! I am glad you enjoyed it! It was challenging and fun to use newly thrifted or clearance items to create my wardrobe for the past few weeks. I am wondering, how do you usually put together an outfit?? Do you do it based off of a specific item, mood, weather, your closet, etc.?? Would love to hear your thoughts!

    • Thank you, Kellie! It is a Nordstrom clearance purchase…I think it was around $20, but I wear it so often it was totally worth it. I think they still carry it in several different gorgeous colors. Have a wonderful day!
