Sometimes the simple charm of local attractions can make it seem like you have traveled hours on a vacation.  Can you think of a place like that in your area?  Hub City is known for its dirt, its wind, its sky, and its sun, but what they don’t tell you about are its secret hidden gems.  Little places of delight like this one, named Brookhollow, tucked away into hidden places.

If I saw these pictures, I would say, “Are you really in the hot, dirty, dusty, windy Western part of the state?  You’re joking with me!

But no, it is for real. Look at the top of the picture and see the desert canyon rocks towering high above this little stream.  Here is living proof that even in the middle of the desert, there can be an oasis!

On the premises lies “the little chapel that love built“, so say Hub City tall tales.  Whether you are of religious affiliation or not, this is a gorgeous piece of glass depicting the gentlest of birds, a dove.

This is just one of the many magical places that Hub City has to offer.  There are many destination spots like these, of all themes and subjects matters.

If you had 24 hours to go somewhere, where would you go?

What is your favorite place to tour locally?

      • Yes there is, the top of the canyon is pretty rocky and there is a lot of desert terrain. If you go down into the canyon you can find Buffalo Lake which is a popular swimming spot and this little spot is there also. Being a pilot I imagine you can see so many different parts of the state and so many different terrains!
