We’re about a mile from the western coast, so we get a lot of wind. If your hair stays attached to your head, it’s a good hair day. But somehow it strikes me as different that the wind in Amarillo, but maybe that’s only because I was never there long enough to understand the weather systems–it just struck me as constant.

Yes Texas life is crazy. I have been once to Houston when I was 21, I had a boyfriend there, but then when you are young you just don’t know what you want out of life and it did not go on for long. But some years ago I learned that he passed away due to illness. I always think of him. Life is really crazy!

    HCG,
MY NIKE MOMENT… THE DAY I ROLLED THE SPIKES OFF OF MY OLD NIKE SNEAKERS. WELL IT MIGHT SEEM A LITTLE STRANGE SO LET ME EXPLAIN. IT IS A POINT OF PRIDE WITH ME TO USE THINGS UNTIL THEY ARE OF NO USE ANY LONGER!! I WALK/ JOG 5 MILES A DAY OR DID AT THIS TIME. I JUST HAD SURGERY.😋🙄 MOVING ON! SO, I WAS HELPING MY PARENTS MOVE TREES AND BRUSH THAT HARD BEEN CUT UP. THE STYLE OF THE SHOES WERE COMING UNDONE AND HAD BEEN. I USED THEN ONLY FOR WORK ANYWAY. BUT THEY USED TO BE MY RUNNING SHOES. ABOUT 20% OF THE SOLE WAS HANGING IN IN DIFFERENT PLACES IF YOU CAN IMAGINE. THE SHOES STILL LOOK GREAT. THEY WERE GREY WITH SOME PURPLE. THE STICKS AND BRUSH KEPT TRIPPING. I WOULD LOOK DOWN AND STICK AND POINTED TREE PARTS WOULD BE COMING OUT BOTH SIDES!!
SO I REACHED DOWN, MY DAD WAS LIKE YOU COULD GLUE THAT BACK ON YOU KNOW, AND I RIPPED IT OFF. WE’RE HAD CUT THREE TREES BIGGER THAN OUR HOUSE DOWN. I SHOULD HAVE THEN THEN OUT YEARS AGO. BUT THEY WERE FINE FOR CUTTING GRASS SO I KEPT THEM. I ENJOYED KNOWING THAT I GOT MY MONEY’S WORTH IT IF THOSE SHOES! I HAD THEM FOR 7 YEARS BEFORE I STARTED RUNNING THEN THEY LASTED A YEAR. BEFORE I RAN THE SOLES OFF, THEN I KEPT THEM FOR CUTTING GRASS ANOTHER TWO. 😂😂
